Think Tank goes public
The UK wakeskating scene has been somewhat of an underground progression in recent years, with secret photo shoots and covert planning of ‘invite only’ events. But now it’s going public! ThinkTank has been an annual event by wake skaters for wakeskaters..and few else. Traditionally shrouded in secrecy, this year the guys are letting everyone in on the fun, showing off what the pros are up to and what the sports’s all about. All are welcome to join in, and that includes you too ladies. With female riders already signed up, make sure you head up to Birmingham’s Ten-80 to see what it’s all about May 28-31. If you little or nothing about wakeskating, this is the event to enlighten you.
There will be an open qualifying day on Thursday May 28th. Entrants will get to ride the ThinkTank Jet Ski rail park which in addition to the trusty flatbar and incline rails will have some truly unique obstacles to hit, but sticking to tradition, they’ll be kept secret for now. Each rider will have to impress with their rail skills, and the top 6 riders from qualifying will go on to ride the main event from Friday through Sunday, including the stair gap. There will be lots more info as the weeks pass by so keep checking the link below, and until then get down to the lake and start practicing on those rails.
