Teva skate shoes backing the girls
It’s notoriously hard to get sponsorship and funding for wakeboarding and skating, especially for the girls, so you can imagine how delighted we were when TEVA, the people behind the new skate shoes you’ve been hearing about, approached us about their girls’ skate shoes. Yes, you heard correctly, their GIRLS’ skate shoes, supporting girls and wakeskating! So, we’re trying out their Gnarkosi shoes, getting the skates out, making a little film and reporting back to you some time next week.

But in the mean time we have the UK Cable Nationals. Not only is Teva acknowledging the girls, but sponsoring the UK Cable Nationals Wakeskate competition this Saturday at WMSki Cirencester. We love that they’re jumping feet first (…sorry) and getting involved with the UK scene, so we’d happily extend the welcoming committee to the girls. Once we’ve got our video up on the site and you’re interested in trying them out for yourselves, please let us know and provided your foot size in within the sizes we’ll be getting, please feel free to demo them and report back.
Until then, check out this little video of team fitties Matt Crowhurst, Ollie Moore and James Harrington having a ‘bonding’ session. HOTM has been absent for a while, so here’s a temporary fix ladies!
Here’s what Matt C had to say:
“Teva Team Day… Last week the newly formed 2011 Teva team got together for the first time to get some shredding in. Matt Crowhurst, Ollie Moore and James Harrington will be amongst the wakeskaters and boarders battling it out at the UK Cable Nationals supported by Teva which this year hosts wakeskating for the first time as part of the line-up. These three riders thought it a good idea to get some skate time in at Wake Up Brighton System 2 Park and behind Matt’s Sea Doo Wake Edition at Chichester Watersports for some solid water time and of course a healthy bit of team bonding!”
