Ten reasons to ride at Cable Nationals 2011

Got your registration form in yet? Not sure about whether to enter? Well, here’s 10 good reasons to get involved in this year’s 2011 Cable Wakeboard nationals at WMSki Cirencester this July 23rd.

2. It will improve your riding giving you goals and benchmarks
3. It will teach you how to focus and perform under pressure
4. Top 10 National ranking riders qualify for FANS*
5. You’ll get to compete along side the best in the country
6. Talent scouts will be watching for new riders for teams and sponsorship
7. Your friends and family will be very impressed and proud
8. It will help develop the sport increasing BWSF membership and awareness
9. It will encourage others to enter, you’ll inspire them
10. You’ll get to know riders from all over the country


*  FANS Free Access for National Sportspeople – a council led initiative offering well performing sportspeople free or subsidised access to sports facilities in their area to assist their training.
Get your entry form from (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and return it complete with relevant documents by 15th JULY at the latest.

You will need
• British Waterski Membership
• Cable Wakeboard licence
• £30 entry fee
• Photocopy of passport

All riders entered in the Nationals also need to go and register a rider profile on cablewakeboard.net



What category will you be in ??

Wakeboard
Mini Boys and Girls: Your year of birth must be 2000 or later.
Boys and Girls : Your year of birth must be 1996 or later.
Junior Men/Junior Ladies: Your year of birth must be 1992 or later.
Open Men/Open Ladies: No age restriction.
Masters Men/Ladies: Your year of birth must be 1980 or before.
Veterans Men/Ladies: Your year of birth must be 1970 or before.

Wakeskate
Junior Men/Junior Ladies: Your year of birth must be 1992 or later.
Open Men/Open Ladies: No age restriction.

Please don’t let your category put you off entering. If you qualify for your preferred category next year, then use this year as a great practice run and learning exercise to suss out what it’s all about.

Competing shouldn’t be all about making the podium; if you challenge yourself and ride the very best you can on the day, then you’ve won! You can’t do more than your best and achieving that on a platform such as the Nationals is something everyone should consider doing. Get your entry form in today! What are you waiting for?

Remember Cirencester host Ladies Mornings every Thursday morning so you can familiarize yourself with their cable before the Nationals in a comforting environment.
