European Cable Wakeboard Championships Results
Here at WAW we’re proud as punch of our girls representing Team GB out in the Cable Europeans in Turkey last week. In Girls, Chloe Goudie and Laura Christian secured GOLD and SILVER respectively ahead of Dutch rider Sanne Meije, whilst in the extremely tough group of Open Ladies, Kirsteen Mitchell fought off Holland’s Maxine Sapulette and Denise De Hanne to win the EUROPEAN TITLE, with Steph Caller coming a very close fourth.
It’s important to stress the incredible standard of these competitions with every category improving year on year. These girls are not only making the grade, but pushing beyond. Maxine Sapulette has dominated the cable scene for years now and Kirsteen has not only beaten her to become European Champion, but taken the WORLD title as well…..as has Chloe Goudie in Girls. Laura Christian, in only her first year competing Internationally, now has a European Silver medal as well.
These girls are pushing and pushing to make the female cable riders here in the UK amongst the very best in the world. They are fantastic, and we applaud them.
