AOD Returns for 2011

2010 saw the long awaited return on the UK Pro Tour and out of the frenzy of riding excitement it whipped up, something truly wonderful was born… The AOD boat tour!
All Other Divisions, was the brainchild of Quays and gave everyone the opportunity to compete; a chance to taste the nerves, the excitement and the triumph of being a wakeboarding champion. With divisions ranging from under 10’s to over 50’s, the AOD tour embraced the ‘get stuck in and have a go’ attitude so vital to having fun in this fantastic sport.
“The AOD tour is a really great way for anyone of any ability to get involved. Last year was so much fun and everyone was in high spirits.
I’d really encourage people to take part as it gives you a good taster of what competitions are all about… plus if you do enter you could be going home with some awesome prizes “
Hannah Thomas, Open Women 2nd, First stop 2010.
Such was the success of the AOD tour 2010, that it’s back for 2011 bigger and better than before. There are 4 stops this year spread between Quays and LDB Wakeschool so there’s a chance for everyone to get involved, individual stop winners and tour champions to be made!

“AOD is an awesome event to meet other female riders of all level and I was glad to see the others who have got similar level to me as a beginner. Seeing other ladies performed tricks which have encouraged me to be more adventurous. I only managed to get in and out the wake when I first joined AOD last year, so it really doesn’t matter what level you are, just join or pop along to be inspired!” Mavis L, Open Women 3rd, First Stop 2010.
Last year gave many participants the competition bug and has helped some riders get noticed by sponsors and team selectors. This year, there’ll be more people involved, more of your friends with more fun guaranteed, so please get involved and have a taste of the podium.
“AOD was brill last year. It’s nice to get together with other female riders and talk about wakeboarding (girl style). I like to hear about their tips to mastering their tricks. The AOD days are fun and also a little nerve racking! It’s a fun day to watch other riders also. I like the AOD stops as they are a great transition from the student national competitions. When I finished Uni I thought that would be it and there would be no amateur competitions around. Then I discovered AOD. It’s a great way to encourage you to learn more tricks. AOD is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who is up for a chilled out comp and a day to enjoy the sun” Claudia Albrecht, 1st Open Women, First stop 2010.
