AOD 2011 – Stop 1 Results
Saturday saw the return of the AOD (All Other Divisions) boat tour, with the first stop hosted by LDB Wakeschool.
Over 30 riders competed in the glorious sunshine, many for the very first time. This fantastic grass roots contest is the perfect way to get a taster of boat competition in a fun well supported atmosphere. LDB Wakeschool hosted a great event with all riders receiving a goodie bag and great prize bags for the podium spots.
“I love to compete in the AOD competitions to meet new people and other riders who are just as passionate about the sport. It’s a great day packed with fun and such an experience to be a part of.”

Well done to Laura Christian (photo left) taking the top place in Girls, Megan Barker winning the Junior Women division and Steph Caller, a long established cable rider making the move to boat competition, winning the Open. Special mention goes to Rachel Simmonds in her first ever contest, well done.
“The AOD at JBski was my first competition, which was pretty scary, especially because the standard of riding was so high even from the under 10s! But the atmosphere down there was fantastic, the boat crew really supportive, and my cheerleaders were amazing, so once I was out on the water I really enjoyed it. I think I rode as well as I could have hoped and I’ll definitely do it again; I’ll be working hard to get my grabs nailed, or one of my 180s W2W, for the next one!”
