Christmas Wake Fairy Competition
We’re offering you the chance to win a Hyperlite JD Webb pullover impact vest (medium) and Hurley boardshorts (32 inch waist) in our ‘Christmas Wake Fairy’ competition. This Festive season, we’re hoping you’ll join us in making the top of your tree say as much about your love for wakeboarding as Christmas! If you need a little inspiration, then take a look at our efforts… and try not to laugh too hard, or use the word ‘GEEEEEK !!!’ Wake fairies have feelings too!

Simply submit a picture of your fairy paying homage to your favourite sport to (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) by December 31st to enter the draw. The winner will be announced in the New Year.
The dish:
1 suitably tacky, funny, yet proud Christmas tree Wakeboarding Fairy!
Ingredients:
1 x pound shop doll (ours was £1.49 !!)
Coloured Fimo or Plasticine ( £1 per colour at said pound shop)
1 x coat hanger
Recipe:
1. Take 1 suitably tacky doll, assess exactly what degree of rubbish you just bought! In the case of limbs that don’t bend, insert lengths of coat hanger wire to give you knees and elbows! (leave a little wire poking out of the feet to help attach a board)

2. Salvage any of the clothing that comes with it as substitute impact vest or shorts. In our case, the dress could be cut off, leaving the top as an impact vest, albeit halter neck, but let’s not be picky! Discard any high heels at all costs!
3. Roll out your Fimo or plasticine and cut out your board. Make it as realistic as you can – this is becoming a serious project now given the effort so far! Add fins, logos, text if you can. Then add bindings base plates and the toe cover to your boots. Place your fairy’s feet in place and make sure the coat hanger wire makes holes in the board. This will add stability later. Bake your board as per instruction.

4. Make shorts using uncooked Fimo, so it’s easier to work like Plasticine. Get your fairy’s feet in her bindings, then add backs to your bindings, securing her feet in. You can add laces detail using the teeth of a cutlery knife if you, like us, consider your fairy a blooming masterpiece at this stage!
5. Decide on the trick your fairy will be doing, bend the limbs accordingly and if she won’t stay put, then use thin polyester threads to persuade them to stay where you want! (it’s stronger than cotton)
6. Make a rope and handle out of any remaining coat hanger wire – pipe cleaner would probably look better – attach it to her hands, either gluing or feeding it through her hands in a very bizarre Christ like representation.
7. Pop on the top of your tree, stand back and admire!
