About WAW
Welcome to Wide-A-Wake where we’re making it easy for you to find out what’s going on in Women’s Wakeboarding in the UK by bringing you all the news of events, coaching clinics and tours RIGHT HERE, all in one place.
Over the past few years, most chicks have had more fun, ridden better and pushed themselves far more when they’re with other like-minded girls. So, whether you want to give it a go for the very first time, take your riding to the next level, or simply meet more women out on the water, you’ll find it all here at Wide-A-Wake.com
From complete beginner to competitor, we’ll let you know how to get started, where to go and who to meet. We’ll be putting you in touch with those passionate people helping women like you take the next step. There’ll be hints and tips from what to wear, to how to avoid injury, to latest offers, amongst a whole load of fun stuff.
Wide-A-Wake aims to help more girls of all ages get on the water and help female wakeboarding grow and grow. We ourselves have had amazing fun and adventures over the years through wakeboarding, we’ve travelled far and wide and met some incredible people, so it’s time you got involved too.
If you know of a female wakeboarding event that we’re not yet covering, please let us know. Also if there’s anything you’d like to see featured that you think would encourage more girls to get involved, we want to hear about that as well. So please drop us a line with your feedback or anything you want to share to (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
Sarah Kingdom
Sarah was bitten by the Wakeboard bug back in the late summer of 2003 and has been verging on obsessed ever since! She won two National titles in her first competitive season back in 2007 in both boat and cable, also landing a place in the GB Cable squad. The obsession only intensified after that ! She’s travelled extensively around the globe chasing tight cables and glassy lakes to places such as Australia, America, Turkey, Philippines, Spain, Finland, Scotland, Holland, and South Africa.

A late comer to the sport, she was the first UK female wakeboarder to be recognised as National Masters Champion and one of the first to compete at European level in the category in 2009.
Sarah’s a firm believer that age is no excuse to follow your passion and that wakeboarding is for EVERYONE at every age. Wide-a-wake came about to share this passion.
You’ll catch Sarah coaching at various boat and cable parks around the country and no doubt nailing herself on a new trick!
